When a student seriously contemplates their life at College, it is common for questions to arise about what exactly should be expected from this important rite of passage. Questions such as; “What will my college experience be like, how will I meet new people, and how will I get the leadership experience needed to get ahead?” One of the best opportunities to answer these questions is to find your “home away from home” at college, and join a fraternity.
Forget what you may have heard about “Frats” in the past. At Universities all over the country, Fraternities and sororities provide thousands of students with the campus connections, scholarship assistance, and the leadership experience necessary to ensure that upon graduation, a Greek student will not only have had the best college experience, but also will have the advantages needed for success in today’s competitive work force. Fraternities of today help provide students with the type of life experience’s that can’t be taught in a classroom.
Your college career is huge step towards adulthood, and as such it can be a little overwhelming at times. It’s natural to feel nervous, as well as excited; and to be asking yourself a million questions as you participate in such a decisive chapter in your life. Your college years will become a journey to define who you are, and more importantly what you stand for. What will you make of it? Will you make friends? Will you become a leader? Will you have the time of your life? Will you get a Job after you graduate? Will you be remembered? Will you have a place to call home?
